Less than 6 hours I would be on my way to London!! Been soooooooo busy to update. Bleh; I didn’t even perform my exorcism. Oh well. I could check on my history to refresh my memory anyway.

Will update after I’ve settled down in the UK; hectic hectic first two weeks I will have.

Sooooo sorry; if there’s anyone that follows this silly blog.

So excited!!!!

We have a room in our kitchen.

Okay not really in the kitchen. Though it is somewhat… I don’t know how to describe it. Next to it? Not really, though probably the best to describe it.

It’s supposed to be the maid’s bedroom.

However, we haven’t had a live-in maid since forever. Okay, I can’t remember, and it feels that way. It is possible that it has been 10 years.

So the room has turned into a store room.

For literally everything apart from our luggages, which remains in the “original” store room.

It has an extra freezer, a cupboard half full of my mother’s book and the other with milk and detergent (what a combination right). Outside there’s bits and pieces of everything.

Mostly plastic bags of things I’ve put aside for recycling. And there’s loads of it.

I’ve always been rather “green”, though I suppose not really the PETA or Greenpeace type. More along the lines of recycling (though with the big exception of shoes; could you really recycle them? I should really stop buying so many shoes…).

One could say I can get quite obsessive when it comes to recycling.

However, I draw the line on recycling greeting cards I’ve received from friends.

Nonetheless, I recycle the wedding invitations my mother receive. Hahaha. Such a waste, those. When you could do it via email or texts. Much more environmentally friendly.

Also a reason why, if I ever do get married, I’m eloping.

So if there’s any of my friends who reads this silly blog; really, don’t expect an invitation to a wedding from me!!

Heck, I don’t even plan to get married in the first place.

Anyway; so the room is full of the things I’ve put aside, and my mother would like to clear the room, in hopes that she would be able to get a new kitchen as soon as I get back from England. That is, I would be home, looking out at the poeple who’ll be turning our drabby, horribly lit kitchen to a better one (or at least, I hope it’ll be!!).

I don’t get my mother, who is sometimes soooo against it that she would mix the stuff I’ve put aside with our kitchen trash. I just don’t.

And she does it deliberately!!!!

I’ve put it aside, and when I go upstairs, she’ll put it with the garbage, and possibly moving some trash onto it so that I won’t be able to get it out.

She says the place is too messy already.

I think that small room is tidier than her room, but who am I to say that anyway.

Oh, I have said it. Oh well. Hahaha.

So I was googling “recycling centres in *beeeeeeeeppp* (not referring to my bunny-sheep hybrid, alright)”, and just couldn’t find a satisfying answer.

I googled all sorts of crap…

And then realized… I am in Malaysia and the official language is Malay.

Why not I google the Malay word for recycling instead. Okay, more like a term, not just a word; kitar semula.

And got more satisfying answers.

Silly silly me. Sigh.

Though I wonder if the bins are in the schools or not. Imagine wanting to enter my primary and secondary school with bags and bags of plastic bottles.

Would be interesting though!!

Oh, to my fellow Malaysians, if you’re interested in recycling, do check out

I have to be!!!! I was more enthusiastic in finishing my reading of Mason & McCall Smith’s Law and Medical Ethics that McCall Smith’s 44 Scotland Street; with the former being a textbook and the latter being a work of fiction.

Though might help that I was reading the book for my seminar which was to be held the next day I got my hands on the Medical Ethics book…

And… Okay there’s no “and”. I don’t know why I’m so slow in reading 44 Scotland Street.

I gave up continuing it. Maybe because there’s quite a lot of characters in the book, and I haven’t read it for quite some time…

I found the character Bruce a bit too annoying…

And now I would have to read it all over again.

Though I probably could skip along…

Nonetheless, it will be after I come back from the UK.

I am still very grateful I didn’t decide to do anything crazy such as take up Medical Law in University of Edinburgh just to have him as a tutor so as to be able to say I had a best selling author as my tutor.

Seriously. Man; that’s bonkers.

And as you can see, I haven’t done my exorcism… And my bad luck remained… While I was beating a batter to make cupcakes, I broke the egg straight into the batter… and discovered that the eggs has partly rotted. Urgh!! Wasted so much butter and sugar!!!!

Exchange rate

March 17, 2009 Leave a comment

I wonder what I found so fascinating with exchange rate before this.

Now that I am tracking the exchange rate to decide when to change my mooneh to Euros and GBPs (I’ve decided to go to KLCC just to get Scottish Pounds is too much hassle even though it is of a lower rate. And I prefer Bank of England’s notes, thank you very much. The rare things I prefer coming from the southern border πŸ˜› ), I find it so bloody annoying to be doing it.

Still, I suppose it is because I am hoping so much that the graph will be plunging downwards instead of just wanting to see the trends.

And I need to do the much needed exorcism of the worst week of my life.

What day better to do on St Patrick’s?

The grand finale of the worst week of my life is finding out that the BBC iPlayer doesn’t work outside of the UK.

I am devastated that I wouldn’t be able to watch the Red Nose Day 2009 shows live as and when they are shown like I did in 2007.

Mamma Mia spoof with French and Saunders!!! Waaahhhhh!!!! I wanna watch!!!!!

Though… looking at the line up, I am thinking… probably the 2007 one was better.

Vicar of Dibley!!!! πŸ˜€

Weirdly, then I didn’t really concentrate much; I just watched it and feel amused due to the fact that they were poking fun at “leaders” of Christianity in an area… Quite like Father Ted. Hehe.

Of course there was another reason to it. Hahaha.

Pity that he wouldn’t be in this year’s line up. Sniff sniff.

Oh well.

Mamma Mia spoof would compensate it, though not much.

Still!! French and Saunders!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I’ll just go to bed. Cry myself to sleep.

Will recount my week tomorrow. Still need to exorcize it through the only means left; can’t bore people much with it.

Oh, and Nina; I’ll comment on your grammatically wrong comment later, but just to tell you, the Dr ? doesn’t actually go by the title Dr, annoyingly. It’s my ENT who’s a surgeon… and being a Commonwealth country, we follow the British way of calling surgeons by Mr and Ms… Super annoying, that.

I dreamt this about the time my mother said it was alright for me to go to the UK again.

Though I should give you an introduction, somewhat.

For some reason, my mom loves the basmati in England loads. She claims that it is different from the ones we get here. Much better, apparently.

I suppose after 3 years having it in constant supply, it doesn’t impress me.

Nonetheless, it does impress my mother.

Last July, when we were coming back, we actually brought back 2kgs of basmati rice with us. In my handluggage. Which needed to be stowed above our heads.

I almost broke my glasses and my back because of it (and a ridiculously annoying old man sitting at that seat which I would love to have spent most of the flight annoying. Sadly, I fell asleep; was so bloody tired!!). Well, not just the rice; there were quite a lot of heavy things in there; but the rice didn’t help matters!!

I dreamt that my mother insisted I bring back 10kgs of basmati and I actually did break my backbone when I tried lifting my hand luggage to be stowed in the cabin… And they had to rush me to London and I could no longer work.

How sad; I haven’t started working and I could no longer work due to the broken spine. Sigh…

It’s official. I told a friend in Cardiff that I would be dropping by.

I’m going to Cardiff!!

And will be staying in for most of the time, I’m sure. Hahahahahahaha.

Repeat again and again; I’m going for the people. I’m going for the people. I’m going for the people….
